Transportation waiver
Required for:
Varsity athletes competing at invitationals that are permitted to provide their own transportation.
Any athlete who is picked up from a meet and being driven home by another parent. I.e. An athlete rides the bus to the meet, and is permitted by THEIR parents to ride home from the meet with ANOTHER athlete's parent. This option requires a waiver signed by a DV principal to be signed by the athlete getting the ride, and the parent that is providing transportation must sign out their athlete at the meet, and sign out the athlete they are transporting.
Not Required for:
Athletes riding the bus to/from a meet.
Athletes riding the bus to the meet, but getting a ride home from their parents. In this case, a waiver is not required, however, parents are required to sign out their athlete from the meet.
Athletes getting rides home from DV. If the athlete rides the bus to/from the meet and gets a ride home from DV with another parents or student, a waiver is not required. Only required FROM the meet.
Transportation waivers or sign out forms are not required for home meets.
