Transportation and Dismissal:
Athletes will be dismissed from class at 12:15 PM to depart on School Bus at 12:30 PM
Only athletes COMPETING in the meet are permitted to leave early. Teammates who are not competing must remain in class.
Dismissal Time: 12:15 PM
Teacher Notification: Teachers will have a list of approved athletes.
Athlete Responsibility: Athletes must leave class promptly at 12:15 PM without causing a disruption.
Procedure After Dismissal:
Head directly to the locker room to change into your uniform. Athletes should not linger in hallways or other areas of campus. Be efficient and respectful of the process of you will lose your privilege to leave early from school for athletic events.
Proceed outside to the parking lot near the track.
Load onto the bus once directed by the coach.
Important: There is a possibility that students may be marked absent, triggering an automated call to parents stating their child was unexcused from school. If this happens, please send a message to Coach Shearer AND Coach Ed so the absence can be corrected with the athletic admin. To ensure it gets addressed promptly, please send a message rather than mentioning it in person.
🚌 Athlete Transportation:
All athletes will be transported to and from the meet via school bus transportation.
If you get out of school early, you can come back to school and ride the bus. You can not drive yourself to the meet.
Athletes are NOT allowed to drive themselves or have parents drive them to the meet.
All athletes will be dismissed early from school and are required to ride the school bus to the meet.
Extenuating Circumstances: If a parent needs to take their athlete home after the meet, they must check out their athlete by signing them out via sign out sheet located at main team camp area or with throws coaches.
Please avoid early departures when possible – Meets are a valuable learning experience and an opportunity for team bonding. Staying for the entire meet allows athletes to support their teammates and learn how track meets function.

Field Events Begin at 2:30 PM, Javelin will start at 1:00PM
Weigh ins for Shot and Disc will start at 1:00PM, please have legal implements and no indoor equipment.

Awards: Medals for the top three (3) places. Medals will be present during the meet.
Admission: Adults: $ 5.00 Students: $ 3.00 A.I.A. passes accepted.
Track Events
The 400 Meter Dash and the 4 x 100 Meter Relay will be run with a two-curve stagger.
-Box alley start will be used in the 3200 Meter Relay and the 1600 Meter Run
Track is all-weather. ¼” Spikes only. Any violation will result in automatic Disqualification from the meet.
Athletes must report to the Check in tent no later than the second call. Any athletes who fail to report by the third call will not be allowed to participate. The tent will be located on the middle of the football field.
Warm-up can be conducted on the infield away from the home stretch flags
Field Events
Shot Put & Discus: Throwing surfaces are concrete. Implements can be provided.
Each competitor will be given 3 throws and Top 9 to final.
Boys Shot Put will be conducted first, followed by the Girls Shot Put. Girls Discus will be conducted first, followed by the Boys Discus.
Long Jump: On the East Runway. Each competitor will be given 3 jumps and Top 9 to Finals. Girls first then followed by Boys.
***Hog Line will be implemented, first jump will be measured, All jumps measured if they meet the qualifying mark: Boys: 18 Feet, Girls 14 feet
Triple Jump: On West Runway. Each competitor will be given 3 jumps and Top 9 to Finals. Boys first then followed by the Girls.

Pole Vault: Boys and girls will compete at the same time 4pm. Pits will open one hour before the start of the event of warm ups. Each school must submit a pole vault weight verification form to the event officiant, prior to competition. Opening height for Boys will be 10' - 0" and then will be raised in 6" increments until completion. Opening height for Girls will be 7' - 0" and then will be raised in 6" increments until completion.
High Jump: Girls will jump first followed by the Boys. Three-Alive procedure. Opening height for Boys will be 5'- 4" and will be raised in 2" increments until 6' 2", and then the bar will be raised in 1" increments until completion. The opening height for Girls will be 4' - 4" and will be raised in 2" increments until 5' 2", then the bar will be raised in 1" increments until completion.
Javelin: Throwing surfaces is the turf practice field (Westside). Rubber tip Javelin only, we will throw on turf. Each competitor will be given 3 throws and Top 9 to finals. Boys javelin will be conducted first and then followed by the Girls. We will start javelin hour and a half (1pm start time) prior to the other field events for safety concerns.
