Athletes found with electronics will be warned and noted. If multiple athletes from the same team are warned multiple times, their coaches will be notified, and subsequent violations will be subject to disqualification Â
For field events, initial warmups should be completed before reporting to the event. Each athlete will be allowed 4 run-throughs or practice throws at the event before the competition begins. THIS SHOULD REMAIN TRUE FOR EVERY EVENT TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY.
Athletes throwing more than 1 implement will have each throw count towards their 4 allowable throws
The purpose of this is to keep the events moving on schedule and to ensure each athlete has the same opportunities during warm-upÂ

RULES
Over the last few seasons, there have been a few rule changes, misinterpretations, or points of emphasis. Please read below to hopefully clarify a few rules and ensure that athletes and coaches are following the rules during competition Â
NO ELECTRONICS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE INFIELD OR IN THE AREA OF COMPETITION
This includes at Pole Vault and High Jump while waiting for their attempts.Â
Coaches should also limit the use of electronics in the infield but will not be disqualified.Â
Athletes and coaches CAN review film at field events in NON-restricted areas. Athletes and coaches can review film in coaches' boxes at each event.Â
Once an athlete's name has been called for an attempt, they can no longer review film unless taking subsequent attempts
Athletes in throwing events do not have to leave the circle “under control”. However, they can’t leave the circle until the implement has landed; and must exit the back half of the circle
Watches will be allowed as long as they are being used as a watch. If athletes are seen using the watch to text, check messages, etc. that will be considered an electronic, and the athlete will be warned or potentially disqualified
Athletes in Field events with 9 athletes or fewer must get a legal mark in their first 3 attempts in order to make it to the finals. Â
When a race is run in lanes, competitors are expected to run the entire race in their assigned lanes…. A competitor shall be considered to be out of the lane when:
Without being fouled and while running around a curve, steps on or over the inside lane line or curb for three or more consecutive steps with either or both feet.       Â
